• FEMA will conduct a nationwide alert today at 1:20 PM. This is a test and is not associated with the school. We expect cell phones to be alerted at approximately 1:20 PM. There is nothing you need to do.

• There will be a meeting today in the gym, after morning announcements, for any high school girls interested in playing basketball.

• Lunch Menu: Turkey and cheese sandwich, fries, broccoli with ranch and an orange

• The Junior High Student Council will be hosting a Fall/ Halloween Dance on Friday, October 20th from 6-8pm. Admission is $3 if you wear a costume or $5 without. Any LWJH student is welcome. However, students that have received a detention, suspension, or are failing a class will not be able to attend. 

• Maroon and Gold Sports Corner: Congratulations to Toby Ulrich for being nominated for the Peoria Journal Star Athlete of the Week. When you get home today, take a few minutes to go online and vote for him. The Journal Star also gave special recognition to Geno Addo, Kody Knecht and Wyatt Brown for their performance at the Tri- County Conference. The girls team placed first and boys second at the LWRB Invitational yesterday with Wyatt Brown, Geno Addo and Toby Ulrich placing in the top ten.
