Congratulations and thank you to the following JH Students for being kind and receiving the Student of the Month award for October: 6th grade - Gavin Steeg; 7th grade - Sophie McClanahan; 8th grade - Ashley Schupp. November’s Student of the Month characteristic is perseverance.
Junior High, great job with Thursday's den challenges. The results are in and first place went to the Green den with 455 points. Congratulations!
Today is the start of the Thanksgiving Food Drive. The class that brings in the most nonperishable food items between now and November 22md will receive a pizza party courtesy of the PTO. Middle school students, please take your items to your classrooms. Junior high students, please take your items to your first hour class. High School Students, please take your items to the following rooms: Freshmen - Ms. Devlin; Sophomores - Mr. Spurgeon; Juniors - To Be Announced; Seniors - Mr. Burris. Please see the flyers in the hallways for more information. Thank you for your support during this holiday season!
Mr. Burris will be holding a mock Presidential Election on Monday, November 4th. All junior high students, high school students, teachers, administrators, secretaries, paraprofessionals and other district staff can vote. People can vote from 7:45 until 3:15. Teachers feel free to send students down to Mr. Burris’s room to cast their votes. All votes will be confidential and counted by at least three different people to insure accuracy. Don’t forget to vote!
Lunch: Chicken patty sandwich, augratin potatoes, green beans and peaches. High school and junior high students can purchase a Michael’s sub today for $2.00 and a can of soda for $1.00. All soda is to remain in the cafeteria.
Maroon and Gold Sports Corner: The 7th grade junior high girls basketball team has a tournament in Midland against Putnam Country at 6:15, the bus leaves at 5:15.
